Vancouver, BC, September 8, 2026 — Canadian brand Kanto Audio today launches Tuk Grand and the 2nd generation of Tuk, two powered speakers that mark the brand’s most deliberate step into hi-fi. Designed in Canada, both refine the elements that shape how a speaker sounds and lives within a space: driver performance, cabinet design, and versatile connectivity.
At the core of both models is the driver pairing Tuk has long been known for—an Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter and an aluminum concave woofer. For this generation, the AMT has been redesigned to deliver smoother, more natural highs with greater detail. Together, the driver pairing, Class-D amplification and custom DSP tuning form the acoustic platform shared by both models.
Founded in Canada in 2007, Kanto has focused on making high-quality audio more approachable. This next generation marks a deeper commitment to hi-fi—combining exceptional sound with purposeful connectivity designed to remain relevant for years to come.
Tuk Grand
Tuk Grand is Kanto’s most ambitious speaker to date. Built on the foundation of Tuk, it pairs a hand-built cabinet with increased internal volume and re-engineered drivers, led by a 6″ aluminum concave woofer. Together they deliver greater scale, deeper extension down to 40 Hz, and a more natural, balanced presentation.
It also signals a shift in Kanto’s approach to industrial design. Earlier products were made to recede into a space; Tuk Grand is made to belong within it — sharper geometry, cleaner lines, and more confident proportions giving it a stronger presence while keeping the restraint to remain timeless.
Tuk, (2nd Generation)
Tuk evolves toward a more refined acoustic and architectural expression. Revoiced with a newly developed DSP profile, it delivers a more natural, balanced sound. A larger cabinet — shaped by Kanto’s signature combing waveguide and wider AMT tweeter dispersion — improves high-frequency smoothness, detail, and consistency across a broader range of rooms.
The result is familiar, but more confident: precision surfaces, controlled geometry, and purposeful visual contrast, each element considered to reduce acoustic interference and give Tuk a more enduring presence in a space.

Dual RCA line-level, optical (TOSLINK™), USB-C, and Bluetooth® 5.4 with aptX Adaptive cover the listening scenarios that matter while keeping the signal path clean and purposeful. A USB-C charge output and a selectable sub-out leave room to grow — an open, adaptable platform rather than a closed ecosystem.
Designed to be seen
Both models carry Kanto’s evolving design language — clean forms, considered details, and finishes chosen to complement a room with presence and purpose. Tuk Grand is offered in Matte Black, Matte White, and Matte Walnut; Tuk adds Matte Burl and Gloss Butter, for five finishes in all.
